Wealth and Greed

Today I’ll mesh and compare how the wealth can be oblivious through  Scrooge McDuck and Marquis from Tale of Two Cities. McDuck Takes on a Scrooge persona in the Movie Duck Tales. Like Scrooge he neglects his working taking all the riches for himself ignoring all of the wretchedness surrounding him. Being greedy he lets his worker with a disabled duck suffer (and Work) on Christmas. After a wake up call with three ghosts, Scrooge McDuck is able to turn is life around attempting to rectify his actions. On the other side of the spectrum Marquis had the same problem as McDuck, greed blinding him to suffering. However, he was not as fortunate to have an epiphany before passing away. He died for his greedy actions cause others  hurting. As we can see as one of the 7 Deadly sins (Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Anger, Sloth, Envy, and Pride) Greed corrupts and gives us “tunnel vision.” I say tunnel vision because once consumed with greed you are blind to everything expect your goal (more wealth).
